This Blog has Moved

Before I had a "Gmail" account I logged in under a different email address.  Now I have to sign out of my Gmail account, to log in under my old account, and vice verse every time I want to blog.

I decided to just stay logged into my Gmail account and start a new blog for easy access.

Discover Stamping will remain up for those seeking ideas.

Thanks to all who visit,

Crazy Doodles

I viewed a card on Pinterest where someone had doodled on their stamping and I just had to give it a try.  I stepped out of my color comfort zone and decided to pair up Tempting Turquoise with Watermelon Wonder!

Card base is a standard A2 size (4 1/4" x 5 1/2"), the whisper white is cut at 4" x 5 1/4", the black strip is cut at 4" x 1 1/4" and the Watermelon Wonder is cut at 3 3/4" x 1".  Using the Full Heart Punch (retired) to cut the end of my strips.

I stamped all my images first and used the Black Stampin' Write marker to doodle on my images.  Added some highlights with the Signo White Gel Pen.  Added Rhinestones to the center of my flowers.  For a little background interest, I made dots with the Daffodil Delight Marker and them used black on top of those dots. Hard to see in the photo but I also added some dots of Dazzling Details.

Sentiment stamped in Black and added some Candy Dots as an accent.  Strip popped up on Dimensionals.

I have to say, this card was really fun to make.  I did this with my club girls and they were amazed that you don't have to be perfect and it still looks good!  I hope you give this a try.

Happy Stamping,
Cindy

Triple Time Garden

I had a request from my stamp club to do some "Triple Time" stamping, so I decided to use the Garden in Bloom stamp set.

The whisper white cardstock is cut at:

4" x 5 1/4"
3" x 4 1/4"
2" x 3 1/4"

The basic black cardstock is cut at:

3 1/4" x 4 1/2"
2 1/4" x 3 1/2"
and a card base of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (A2)

Apply a bit of adhesive to the back of the small and medium panels of whisper white to hold them in place, and centering them on top of each other.  Then stamp.  Hard to see in the photo, but I used the splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge to add some interest in the background with Soft Sky, stamped off once.

Once your stamping is done, gently pull the panels apart and adhere the small and medium panel to the black cardstock panels and the large panel to the base of the card.  Small and Medium layers are popped up onto Stampin' Dimensionals.

I love making these cards, so fun!

Quick and Easy Note Cards

Part of the fun of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is getting the Stampin' Success magazine.  Each issue is a great tool for new card ideas and inspiration.  The July/Aug 2015 issue had some simple cards (A2 size) using DSP and the Tin of Cards Stamp Set.  I used the Note Cards and Envelopes as I had some small scraps of DSP to use.  The large print is cut at 2 3/4" x 2 1/2" and the strip at the bottom is cut at 2 1/2" x 1/2".  I embellished one card with a butterfly.  I love having these cards on hand and they make great gifts!
